The Great Plains IDeA-CTR Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Research Design (BERD) KCA is pleased to host a BIG DATA WORKSHOP at UNMC.  Biomedical big data sources include the “diverse, complex, disorganized, massive, and multimodal data bine generated by researchers, hospitals, and mobile services around the word.”1 This workshop will focus on novel statistical methods pertaining to a different types of biomedical datasets.  It will bring together experts in statistics and big data. The aim of the workshop is to provide an opportunity for statisticians, epidemiologists, and researchers from other disciplines to collaborate and discuss novel methodological tools for existing and future research.

This workshop has four areas of focus:
