CHRI Mini Research Summit

August 3, 2021 - August 4, 2021

The Child Health Research Institute (CHRI) will host the Global Health Area of Emphasis Mini Research Summit on August 3rd and 4th, 2021. Participants will share projects, discover new resources and make valuable connections for future collaborative opportunities. The mini summit, led by Dr. Shirley Delair, Amy Rezac-Elgohary, Nick Kocmich and Vicky Nakibuuka-Muli will include a networking session and featured speakers. Featured Speakers include Steven Yeh, MD, Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at UNMC, and Abbie Raikes, PhD, Associate Professor in the Department of Health Promotion at the UNMC College of Public Health. Dr. Yeh will present “Ebola and the Eye: Implications for Health Systems and Childhood Disease Surveillance,” while Dr. Raikes will present “Early child development: Using Data, Research and Science to Care for Young Children around the World.” CHRI membership is encouraged, but not required, for participation.

 

Two types of registration will be available for the summit:

•              Participating investigator for those who plan to prepare and present a bio slide and engage in active discussion to spark collaboration and resource sharing

•              Active listener for those in research supportive roles or from other areas of research who would like to listen to the investigators and mini summit presentations

Registration open until August 2 at noon CST

 

All who register as participating investigators will be asked to create a bio slide. Please use this SLIDE TEMPLATE and send your bio slide to CHRI by August 30th at noon. Slides will be shared with participants. Use THIS LINK to register for the event.
