CoNDA Center Career Development Series

August 7, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm UTC-6

The Cognitive Neuroscience of Development and Aging (CoNDA) Center at UNMC is hosting a new Career Development Series Seminar. “The Grant Writing Process: From Idea to Review” will be presented on Friday, August 7th at noon via Zoom. Writing grant proposals is a critical part of a researcher’s career; however, the grant-writing process can be overwhelming. Understanding the mechanisms, the application and writing process, and the review process is critical for success. During this seminar, Dr. Lori Leibold from Boys Town National Research Hospital and Dr. Krystal Werfel from the University of South Carolina present key information on grant writing. They will cover: how to identify the primary funding mechanisms for NIH; how to link each part of the research proposal into a cohesive narrative when writing a grant application; how to write a persuasive abstract, specific aims, and approach; as well as a consideration of the review process. Use THIS LINK to tune in at the time of the seminar.
