Great Plains IDeA-CTR Seminar Series

Ted Mikuls, MD, MSPH, Umback Professor of Rheumatology and Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Internal Medicine Division of Rheumatology at UNMC, will present “The VARA Consortium: A Collaboration in Research and Research Training” for our next CTR Seminar on Thursday, June 10^th at noon via Zoom. Dr. Mikuls will focus on the development and growth of the national Veterans Affairs Rheumatoid Arthritis registry (VARA). Specifically, the talk will center on how VARA has supported interdisciplinary clinical-translational research using a team-based approach and how VARA has been leveraged to support team-based mentoring of trainees.
