Integrative Health and Wellness Summer Webinar Series

June 15, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm UTC-6

Creighton University is hosting a webinar series in June to discuss the importance of social connections during and beyond COVID-19. Social connections are important for our overall health and well-being. The COVID-19 global pandemic has interrupted this component of well-being through physical distancing, lockdowns, and isolation. On Tuesday, June 15th at noon, Johanna Gniffke, MS, RN, will present “Adverse Effects of Social Isolation During the COVID-19 Pandemic and Strategies to Cope.” The COVID-19 pandemic has undoubtedly altered many aspects of daily life; perhaps most notably it has significantly limited opportunities for social interaction. This webinar will examine observed outcomes the pandemic has had on the social well-being of patients in a primary healthcare setting. This discussion will also consider how social isolation complicates overall health management for individuals with chronic diseases and will offer practical approaches health coaches can implement with their patients/clients to augment social well-being.
