OITE “Becoming a Resilient Scientist” Series

September 15, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm UTC-6

The NIH Office of Intramural Training and Education (OITE) is opening up their programs this year to extramural trainees. Beginning on September 15, the OITE will host a series of webinars and small group discussions focused on helping undergraduate students, postbacs, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in the sciences develop the resilience needed to thrive in high-knowledge environments. This material is helpful for trainees just starting out, those contemplating their next educational move and those who are mentoring others. Groups will be organized by educational level so trainees can talk with others experiencing similar educational, work and life stressors. Trainees who participate in the webinar or who watch the webinar online at another time, are welcome to participate in the small group discussions. Groups will be held each Monday and Tuesday one week following the webinar. Trainees who complete five of the small groups and who participate in, or watch, all of the webinars will receive a certificate upon completion of the series.
