Pediatric Cancer Research Symposium

On Wednesday, August 26^th, the Pediatric Cancer Research Symposium will be presented virtually from 9am to 1pm via the Child Health Research Institute (CHRI) event website and Zoom. Health care providers, faculty, staff, students and the public are invited to attend; the symposium is free to all participants but registration is required. This year’s symposium will feature research and advocacy efforts related to two themes. The session from 9am to 11:15am will focus on Water Quality, and the session from 11:15am to 1pm is geared towards “Return to Learn” – an initiative to support the learning needs of children with chronic illnesses. Both sessions will conclude with a panel discussion featuring a selection of Nebraska senators – Sen. Tom Brandt, Sen. Tony Vargas, Sen. Lynne Walz, Sen. Matt Williams and Sen. Anna Wishart. Scientific and community-oriented posters will be available to view and comment on beginning Wednesday, August 19^th on the CHRI event website.
