Region VII DHRE COVID-19 Webinar Series

The Region VII Disaster Health Response Ecosystem (DHRE) team has announced an upcoming COVID-19 webinar series focusing on current trends in response to the pandemic scheduled for Thursday, July 30th from 2 to 3pm (CST). Led by Nebraska Medicine and the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), the Region VII DHRE brings together partners from across the region to address preparedness for all-hazards events. Topics for this webinar will include a UNMC study on the aerosolization of the COVID-19 virus and current research on vaccine trials. This webinar will include Dr. Ted Cieslak, director of UNMC’s Health Security Office, who will share his perspectives on trends in COVID-19 response nationally. Dr. John Lowe will be sharing his recent study surrounding the aerosolization of the COVID virus followed by Dr. David Brett Major who will describe his research on the path to creating a COVID vaccine.
