The Ketogenic Diet: History, Mechanisms, & Use in Neurological Disorders

Erica Schmidt, PhD, Neuropsychology Fellow, and Nadia Pare, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Department of Neuropsychology, both at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, will present “The Ketogenic Diet: History, Mechanisms, & Use in Neurological Disorders” on Thursday, June 6th from 11:50am-12:50pm in the Michael Sorrell Center (room 1005). They will discuss the origins and history, the proposed mechanisms of action, and the current research on the therapeutic use of the ketogenic diet in various neurological and other medical conditions.
