The Great Plains IDeA-CTR supports biomedical and community-engaged research that facilitates the translation of science from bench to bedside.

Because we are funded by an IDeA grant through the NIH, we must prioritize the support of specific health initiatives in our region. Our key health priorities include mental health, nutrition, physical activity and weight, drivers of health outcomes and leading causes of death.

Projects that make an impact on medically disadvantaged, underrepresented and/or geographically or clinically isolated populations are of high interest. In addition, projects that can introduce or evaluate new tools or technologies useful in these populations are strongly encouraged.
