March 30, 2021 - March 31, 2021

In partnership with National Indian Council on Aging, Center for Rural Health at University of North Dakota and Quality Health Associates of North Dakota, Dakota Geriatrics presents 1st Annual Symposium on Age Friendly Care in the Great Plains to be held on March 30th – 31st, 2021 via Zoom.

The 2-half day symposium will bring regional experts to discuss the Geriatric 4Ms in patient care specific for American Indian populations in the Great Plains. Day 1 (March 30th 2021) will address health care issues confronting older adults and community workers (3 social worker contact hours provided) and day 2 (March 31st 2021) will focus on how providers and healthcare professionals can better assess and manage the older adult patient (up to 5 free educational credits).

By the end of the symposium, attendees will be able to describe how to transform clinical operations into age-friendly healthcare, reliably apply Geriatric 4M assessments, and implement action plans for Geriatric syndromes.
