Aging with Passion and Purpose Virtual Conference

March 15, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm UTC-6

The Departments of Gerontology and Social Work at UNO, along with our community partners, will be hosting the “Aging with Passion and Purpose Virtual Conference” on March 15th from 9am to 5pm. This year’s virtual conference will discuss the implications of COVID-19 on older adults from a biopsychosocial perspective, including disparities across cultural groups, and provide an overview of where we’ve been, the current status of the pandemic, and an up-to-date view of where we are headed. Conference participants will gain hope from lessons learned and insights on future outlooks from healthcare and human services experts as well as personal experiences from those on the frontline. The conference is free of charge to attend. They are accepting abstracts for a poster session with a focus on any project examining COVID-19 from a biological, cognitive, or psychosocial framework. The deadline to submit abstracts has been extended to February 25th. Find more information about the conference and learn how to submit an abstract HERE.
