Community-Academic Partnership Program Funding Opportunity (Deadline Extended)

February 7, 2021

The Community-Academic Partnership (CAP) Program provides support for research proposals with a strong community focus. Our goal is to improve health and wellness in communities through the development or testing of programs and interventions that are impactful and sustainable in a community setting. Awarded projects have established strong ties to the community as evidenced by a letter of support from a community organization or advocate. Building on the efforts and principles of Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR) and Practice-based Research Networks (PBRNs), teams of academic researchers and community partners can collaborate to design, implement, and sustain projects and interventions intended to address serious community health issues.

The Community Engagement and Outreach Core of the Great Plains IDeA-CTR Network is excited to announce 2 new funding opportunities for the July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2022 funding year. This funding is dependent upon the renewal of the Great Plains IDeA-CTR grant. These awards are available to full-time faculty at the following institutions: UNMC, UNO, UNK, UNL, Creighton University, and Boys Town National Research Hospital. Please see the full Request for Applications document HERE.

NOTE: The deadline for submitting applications has been extended by one week! We will be accepting applications until February 7th at 5:00 pm.
