Intellectual Property as it Relates to Research Developed Interventions

The Center for Patient Family and Community Engagement in Chronic Care Management (CENTRIC) will host a seminar on intellectual property development and protection as it relates to research on August 22 from noon to 1pm at UNMC’s Center of Nursing Science (CNS, room 40118). Jason Nickla, JD, LLM, Vice President & Director of Intellectual Property at UNeMed Corporation will give an overview of IP, discuss UNeMed’s role in working with researcher developed Apps and other mobile technology applications, outline Material Transfer Agreements, Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDAs) and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and summarize commercialization and/or patents as related to technology applications.
