Mind Brain Health Seminar Series

Kelly Stauch, PhD, Assistant Professor in Department of Neurological Sciences and Director of the Seahorse Core at UNMC, presents “Describe the PD-relevant phenotype of rats deficient in Pink1 and Parkin” in the next Mind Brain Health Seminar Series on Wednesday, March 10^th from noon to 1pm. Dr. Stauch will explain the generation and characterization of Pink1/Parkin double knockout (DKO) rats, a novel model of hereditary Parkinson’s disease (PD), discuss the phenotype of this rat model in the context of PD-relevant pathology, and identify mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of disease in the Pink1/Parkin DKO rats.
