Mind Brain Health Seminar Series

Kelly Stauch, PhD, Assistant Professor in Department of Neurological Sciences and Director of the Seahorse Core at UNMC, presents “Describe the PD-relevant phenotype of rats deficient in Pink1 and Parkin” in the next Mind Brain Health Seminar Series on Wednesday, March 10th from noon to 1pm. Dr. Stauch will explain the generation and characterization of Pink1/Parkin double knockout (DKO) rats, a novel model of hereditary Parkinson’s disease (PD), discuss the phenotype of this rat model in the context of PD-relevant pathology, and identify mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of disease in the Pink1/Parkin DKO rats.
