Neurology Career Development Young Investigator Workshop

The Neurology Career Development Young Investigator Workshop takes place on Tuesday, November 17^th from 7:30am to 5:30pm (CT). Supported by an NIH/NINDS grant, the objectives of this workshop include the exploration of career pathways, successful research program and lab development, and the basics of research grant funding mechanisms and how to apply. This workshop is open to all neuroscience young investigators. The workshop will be moderated by Dr. Smith-Hicks and will begin with a keynote address by Gavin Rumbaugh PhD from Scripps Research Florida. He will speak to the basic and clinician-scientists in the audience describing his journey from graduate student to fellow and now faculty investigator studying neurodevelopmental disorders caused by a mutation in synapse protein-encoding genes.
