Rural Drug Addiction Research Center’s Fall Seminar Series

Alex Mason, PhD, will present “Family-Based Risk and Protection for Adolescent Substance Misuse” at the Rural Drug Addiction Research Center’s first Fall Seminar Series on Thursday, September 12 from 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm in the Ubuntu Room (Rm #202) of the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center. Dr. Mason is the Gertrude Marie Morrow-Steve Endowed Chair of Clinical Research and Senior Director of the Child and Family Translational Research Center at Boys Town. He received his Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Social Psychology from the University of Nevada–Reno, and has held research and faculty positions at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the University of Washington. His applied research interests include the developmental etiology and family-focused prevention of adolescent and young adult substance misuse and co-occurring problems.
