The Impact of Mild-to-Severe Hearing Loss on Cognitive and Neural Development

Elizabeth Heinrichs-Graham, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Neurological Sciences at the University of Nebraska Medical Center will present “The Impact of Mild-to-Severe Hearing Loss on Cognitive and Neural Development” on May 2nd from 11:50am to 12:50pm in the Michael Sorrell Center (room 1005). Attendees will learn the impact of hearing loss on verbal and nonverbal cognitive performance, the role of noninvasive neuroimaging in clarifying these cognitive decrements, and the impact of hearing loss on the neurophysiological processes serving high-order cognitive processing.
