BTNRH SMART Lunch: Behavioral Pediatrics

September 10, 2019 @ 6:00 am - 7:00 am UTC-6

Another upcoming presentation in the SMART Lunch series hosted by Boys Town National Research Hospital. Fifty percent of all pediatric medical visits involve behavior problems. These problems mostly involve high frequency, low intensity problems that respond well to short term interventions. Although primary care pediatricians are increasingly prepared to contend with such problems, limited time and training continue to be obstacles.  “Behavioral Pediatrics:  The Conceptual Foundation of the Center for Behavioral Health” will be presented by Patrick C. Friman, Ph.D., ABPP, Vice President of Behavioral Health at Boys Town and Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. This talk will describe how the Center for Behavioral Health came to be, elaborate on the points made above, and supply evidence of the progressive success of the Center. This will take place on Tuesday, September 10th from noon to 1pm in the Lied Learning and Technology Center (LLTC, room 311) on BTNRH downtown campus. Contact Roger Harpster to view remotely via Zoom.
