Department of Neurological Sciences Grand Rounds

Dr. Matthew Rizzo, MD, FAAN, FANA, Frances and Edgar Reynolds Professor, Chair of the Department of Neurological Sciences, and Directory of the Great Plains IDeA-CTR Network, will present “Clinical & Translational Research for the Neurological Sciences” on Thursday, September 5^th from 11:50am to 12:50pm in the Michael Sorrell Center (MSC, room #1005) on the University of Nebraska Medical Center campus. Dr. Rizzo will discuss the nature of clinical and translational research (CTR) in relation to the neurological sciences, provide details on the primary objective of developing a robust, networked research infrastructure to nurture, develop, and guide our CTR investigators, and build collaborations among them and with community members, and demonstrate how investigators can become more competitive for research awards and, ultimately, better understand the development of neurological disease and the means for its treatment and prevention.
