Effective Preceptors: An Interdisciplinary Perspective from Students

March 4, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm UTC-6

As interprofessional education continues to grow in importance, the role of preceptor effectiveness across disciplines becomes an important area of study, yet past research on preceptor effectiveness has largely been done from within individual health care professions, raising the question as to whether we are missing critical disciplinary differences. In 2019, Dr. Steve Westereng sought to explore these differences as well as to examine commonalities across professions by studying preceptor effectiveness in 6 different professions. Join us as he shares the findings of the commonalities and differences in preceptor effectiveness. His lecture will take place on Wednesday, March 4th from 11am to noon at the School of Medicine & Health Sciences (SMHS, room W203) on the University of North Dakota campus. This lecture will also be live-streamed. Visit THIS WEBSITE for more information and the live-stream link.
