Great Plains IDeA-CTR Lecture Series: iCaRe2

A presentation of the “Integrated Cancer Repository for Cancer Research” will take place on May 9^th from noon to 1pm in the College of Nursing Sciences (room 40118) at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Oleg Shats, Assistant Director for Cancer Informatics in the Eppley Institute for Cancer Research, will provide information on iCaRe2, a multi-institutional resource used to collect and manage standardized, multi-dimensional, longitudinal data and bio-specimens on cancer patients, high-risk individuals, and normal controls. The talk will cover technical, organizational, and operational aspects of the iCaRe2 infrastructure, including tools for data collection, reporting, and mining as well as the workflow for data and specimen requests.
