Evidence-Based Interventions for Substance Use Disorders

The Behavioral Health Education Center of Nebraska (BHECN) and The University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) will host “Evidence-Based Interventions for Substance Use Disorders” in Omaha, NE at the UNO Thompson Alumni Center on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 8:30am to 2:45pm. A conference with national and local experts for physicians, psychologists, advanced practice providers, nurses, social workers, counselors, licensed addiction and alcohol counselors (LADC). Speakers will discuss Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and the role in treatment for substance use disorders and pain management, the state of substance use and pain disorder treatment in different treatment settings, the role of behavioral health counselors in medication-assisted treatment, and evidence-based treatments for substance use disorders, pain disorders, and co-occurring disorders.
