The Opioid Crisis in Rural Areas Webinar

“The Opioid Crisis in Rural Areas: The View from Prevention” is hosted by Prevention Technology Transfer Center (PTTC) Network on Tuesday, March 17^th from 1pm to 2:30pm (CST). This webinar will feature public health experts sharing insight on life events, traumas, and challenges that may contribute to opioid misuse for people living in rural communities. Dr. Ryan Westergaard of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health shares insights on some of the upstream life events, traumas, and challenges that may contribute to opioid misuse for people living in rural communities. Dr. Will Cooke of Scott County will provide an overview of the community-based approach that is helping to reclaim the lives of people with opioid use disorder and transform Scott County.
