RDAR Center’s Winter Seminar Series

March 12, 2020 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm UTC-6

The Rural Drug Addiction Research (RDAR) Center will host “Trauma Disparities and Treatment among Latinx Populations” presented by Trey Andrews, PhD, on March 12 from 3:30 to 5:00pm in Oldfather Hall (room #430G) on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus. Dr. Andrews focuses his research on understanding and reducing mental health disparities, particularly among Latinx and other racial/ethnic groups. This work has often centered on trauma and other stressful event disparities, their sequelae, and novel treatments that expand access. Clinically, his work mirrors his research, having conducted treatment in integrated medical settings that seek to reduce access disparities and completing treatment in Spanish. He uses this background to advance and test other treatment approaches that can enhance access equity. Attend in person or via Zoom using THIS LINK.
